CMW edges Manchester Valley
In a girls soccer matchup involving teams from Harford and Carroll Counties, C. Milton Wright pulled out a thrilling, 2-1, overtime victory over Manchester Valley on Emilee Axelsson’s Golden Goal.
After playing a scoreless first half, each team scored once in the next 40. Morgan Kovacic, assisted by Sean Luk, scored for CMW and Emma Penczak put Manchester Valley on the board.
Axelsson’s winning score came in the first overtime.
Kaitlyn Williford had made 3 saves for Wright and Emma Lander had 10 stops to keep the Mavericks close.
