Team to beat: Broadneck – The Bruins could be ready for a serious run at the Class 4A state championship this season. The Cape St. Claire school has four-year starting signal caller Ehrlich back with a veteran offensive front and defensive nucleus. Broadneck will have to navigate through the Anne Arundel league, but it’s hoping non-league tests against MIAA A stronghold Archbishop Spalding and perennial Montgomery County private power Bullis School prepares them for a deep November run.

Storyline: Hunt, a former Panther standout in the late 1990s who served as a volunteer assistant at the Naval Academy, looks to bring alma-mater back to upper-half of Anne Arundel County standings.
