Chickas and Tziamouranis net goals for the Panthers

In an important Anne Arundel County boys soccer match, Tuesday, Annapolis picked up a critical, 2-1, win over No. 14 Broadneck.

Danny Chicas and Nikolas Tziamouranis scored the goals and Tiger Christmas added an assist, as the Panthers improved to 6-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play Annapolis is now tied with Meade for second place in the league with 15 points.

Broadneck, which got its lone goal from Jeremiah Rodriguez, assisted by David Dallanegra, fell to 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the league.

In the goal, Broadneck’s Ian Wagner had six saves and Annapolis’ Connor Walter had five.

Annapolis outshot the Bruins 8-6 and had a 7-4 edge in corners.
