Gilman School is once again the top-ranked football team in the latest statewide media poll while Calvert Hall College continues a climb into the Top 10.

The Greyhounds captured all 12 first-place votes Tuesday to remain No. 1 for the third straight week. Arundel maintain the No. 4 spot.

Calvert Hall College, which hosts Gilman Friday night at Russo Stadium, moved up four spots to No. 6. Another MIAA A school, McDonogh School, made the biggest leap in the poll, moving from 19th to No. 9.

Broadneck remained at No. 15 while Archbishop Spalding climbed from 21st to No. 18. Old Mill, advanced a spot to 19th.

River Hill, which lost for the first time in 49 games against Howard County competition last Friday, fell from No. 6 to 22nd. It’s the first time the Clarksville school has been out of the state Top 10 since week 10 of the 2006 season. 

North Harford moved from 25th to No. 24.

Boys’ Latin, Hereford and South Carroll were among others receiving votes category.
