It is hard to pull out a win when a team gives up 24 points in forfeits, but the Annapolis Area Christian Eagles found a way to claim that victory, Friday, beating the Severn Admirals, 41-36.

Receiving one forfeit from the Admirals at  119 helped the Eagles breakdown that 24-point deficit, but it was the pinning power of five AACS wrestlers that would help lead the team to a win.

Earning big wins through the middle of the lineup, Sandacz, Miller and Fontz earned bonus point wins between 135 and 145, with Miller adding a tech fall to his teammates’ pins, and fellow pinners Coe (112), Jalloh (171) and Dankwerth (215) would add another 18-points to the board.

Dankwerth’s fall at 215 was especially crucial, as it put the Eagles out of reach from the Admirals, 41-30, allowing Cameron Blackwood to secure the Severn forfeit at 285 without AACS losing the meet.

Severn had two pinners during the meet in Jason Utz (152) and Coleman Delude (189), with added wins by forfeit recipients at 103, 125, 160 ans 285.
