When Annapolis Area Christian school hosted St. Vincent Pallotti three weeks ago, the Eagles had their stiffest test of the year before prevailing, 28-21.  In the rematch, Friday night at Fairland Regional Park, the Eagles built a 21-7 first half lead and steadily pulled away for a 49-22 win to clinch their second straight MIAA C Conference championship.

AACS, which is now 8-0 and on a 15 game winning streak, improved to 4-0 in the conference with two games to play.  They lead both Pallotti (4-5, 2-2) and Baltimore Lutheran (6-2, 2-2), who they will visit next week, each by two games.  Even if the Eagles were to lose their final two, while either Pallotti or Lutheran won out, they still would own the tie-break over both teams.

The offensive leader throughout the Eagles’ 15-game quarterback has been senior quarterback Chris Chick and he had his best game yet, Friday, passing for a career high 255 yards and four touchdowns.

Two of Chick’s TD tosses went to Malique Johnson, who grabbed six balls for 100 yards.  In addition, James Anderson rushed for two scores in the win.

Chandler Edmonds and Alpha Jalloh also had receiving touchdowns for the Eagles, while Jon Hunter scored on a one-yard run.

Allen Hall led Pallotti with a pair of rushing touchdowns and Tyler Drew also scored for the Panthers.
