Friday was a big night for Jon Hunter, continuing a big season thus far for the speedy Annapolis Area Christian football star and his Eagle teammates.
Hunter scored two touchdowns in the contest as AACS ran its record to 3-0 with a 26-6 home win over Perryville.
Hunter opened the scoring with a 56-yard punt return in the first quarter and then broke a 6-6 halftime tie with a 61 yard touchdown pass from Chris Chick early in the third quarter.
AACS also scored on a one-yard third quarter sneak by Chick and a four-yard run, in the fourth quarter, by Jim Anderson.
Perryville’s only score came in the second quarter when quarterback Gabe Sherrod rushed in from five yards out.
Chick finished the game 8-for-16 for 129 yards and Anderson gained 110 yards on 19 carries, while Hunter caught two balls for 80 yards and rushed once for six yards.
AACS has now won 10 straight games following a 2009 loss to Perryville.
