Annapolis Area Christian, fresh off a championship at the Snowball Classic in Western Maryland, is suddenly hot. The Eagles have now won four straight after a 69-54 MIAA B Conference road victory at St. Mary’s, Monday night.
AACS (8-5, 4-2) overcame a slow start which saw it trail by six at the end of the first quarter, but the Eagles rallied to outscore St. Mary’s 21-10 in the third quarter and seize control of the contest.
Conor Lipinski paced the Eagle offense with 23 points and Austin Nwosu netted 13.
St. Mary’s, which was led by Tevin Johnson’s 15 points, rallied early in the final quarter, but AACS closed strong to establish the 15 point margin of victory.
