Walkers scores 17 as Kenwood outlast Chesapeake-BC

Pharaoh Walker, who scored a game-high 17 points, converted a traditional 3-point play in overtime, turning a one-point Kenwood lead to a four-point advantage and starting a 6-0 closing run, as the Bluebirds outlasted Chesapeake, 51-44, in Baltimore County boys’ basketball action, Tuesday.

Chesapeake led after each of the first two quarters, but Kenwood surged in front, 29-26, after three quarters. The Bayhawks would eventually battle back to tie and Kenwood missed a late shot that may have won it in regulation.

Dayejon Harris added 12 points for Kenwood and Chandler Cuthrell netted 11. Vernon Toney led Chesapeake with 16 points and Kevin Solomon added 14 for the Bayhawks.
