Dawkins rush for three scores as the Lions roll out to a 35-0 first half lead
No. 7 Howard out-matched host Mount Hebron, Friday night, as the Lions visited Ellicott City and roared to a 42-0 Howard County victory.
The entire second half was played under a running clock, as Howard (3-0) scored five first half touchdowns and took a 35-0 lead into the intermission. Devin Dawkins scored three of those TD’s, all on the ground, with the first one coming from 36-yards out in the first quarter. He scored again on 6-yard run, later in the first, and added a 4-yard TD burst in the second quarter.
In the first half, the Lions also cored on a 4-yard run by Robert Agbai and a 30-yard pass from Anthony Reid to Robby Porter. Jermaine Whittington scored the final touchdown for the Lions, with a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Mount Hebron fell to 1-2 with the loss.
