On April 16th four girls lacrosse champions will gather at Troy Park in Elkridge for the 4 Causes 4 Champions tournament, to benefit four local charities selected by the participating teams.

The event features defending state champions Liberty (1A), Queen Anne’s (2A) and Broadneck (4A), as well as reigning Carroll County champion Century. At 10 a.m., Liberty will face Queen Anee’s and Broadneck will battle Century. The winners will play in the championship game at noon, with the losers meeting in a consolation contest.

The charities which benefit from the event are the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers, Happy Crafts and Mental Health Awareness.
