Eagles get 17 points for Nelson in girls’ hoops decision


Junior guard Aleah Nelson scored 17 points and Kayla Liles added 16, leading second-ranked McDonogh School to a 65-27 victory over No. 11 Institute of Notre Dame in an IAAM non-divisional contest in Owings Mills Tuesday.

Junior guard Jessica Booth added 11 for the Eagles (2-1 overall), who led 40-11 at halftime. Loyola University recruit Taleah Dixon finished with five points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Eniyah Russell led IND (0-2) with nine points.
