Junior third basemen Amaya Chmielewski drove in three runs and Jodie Bronushas and Rilee Fazenbaker combined for a no-hitter as top-ranked Eastern Tech High defeated Chesapeake-Baltimore County, 17-0, in a Class 2A North Region Section I softball semifinal.
The defending region champ Mavericks (17-1 overall) will host Sparrows Point in the section final Wednesday afternoon. Sparrows Point defeated Patterson, 15-0, in the other section I semifinal Monday.
Fazenbaker, a freshman, went 2-for-2 with two RBI. She pitched final two innings after Bronushas tossed three no-hit innings. Bronushas, a senior, finished 2-for-2 and scored three runs.
Junior outfielder Nina Metz had two hits.
