Vikings rout Siena 89-37 in season opener


Jemicy School picked up its first win of the 2017 basketball season on its first try, Wednesday, routing visiting Siena School, 89-37, in Owings Mills.

The Vikings too charge immediately, outscoring the Wildcats 21-9 in the opening quarter and building a 45-19 lead at the half.

Myles Johnson had a huge afternoon, scoring a game-high 20 points to go with four steals, five rebounds and three assists. Right behind Johnson was Chris Prigg who added 19 points and nine rebounds.

Two other Vikings reach double figures as Braden Smith had 14 points and five rebounds and Tavon Wilson had 11 points and eight rebounds. In addition, Harry Heaps and Zach Walman combined for 17 points.
