Bobcats outlast No. 11 Westminster in OT; Hillman gets hat trick

Elizabeth Hillman scored three goals, and Grace Wehland scored in overtime, giving Bel Air High a 10-9 victory over 11th-ranked in the Class 4A/3A South Region girls' lacrosse final Wednesday in Carroll County.

The Bobcats will play Montgomery County's Sherwood in a 4A/3A state semifinal Friday or Saturday at Gaithersburg High in Montgomery County. It's the final state four since 2015 for Bel Air (13-4 overall), which lost to Severna Park in the 2015 title match.

The Harford County school is back, thanks to Wehland, who had two goals and an assist. Julia Henry also had two goals and an assist, and Anna Farley finished with a goal and two assists.

Caroline Frock had three goals and an assist for Westminster (14-3), which knocked off 2016 4A/3A state champ Dulaney in overtime Monday. Madi Macera scored twice.
