Bobcats blitz Kenwood, 10-0, in playoff opener
Senior starting pitcher Mike Yetter hurled five innings of two-hit scoreless baseball and senior outfielder Zack Radcliffe went 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBI’s and one run scored, leading No. 13 Bel Air to a 10-0 win, in six innings, over Kenwood in a 4A North Region baseball playoff game.

The Bobcats will face Dulaney, in Lutherville, on Tuesday in the 4A North Section I final.

While Yetter was striking out five and walking just two, the Bobcats earned all the runs they would need in the bottom of the first. Yetter (1-for-3 with 2 runs scored) helped his own cause by beating out an infield single with two outs. Radcliffe followed with a double to put two Bobcats in scoring position. Junior first-baseman Cam Kalandros (2-for-3 with 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored) followed with another double, scoring both base runners and pushing the Bobcats ahead 2-0.

Kalandros doubled again in the fourth and scored on another two-bagger by junior outfield Drew Gagnon. Later in the inning junior short stop Spencer Sanza would line a well hit ball down the right-field line for a triple, scoring Gagnon and stretching the Bobcats’ lead to 4-0 after 4 innings.

In the Bel Air fifth, Radcliffe added an RBI single and another run scored on a throwing error to give Bel Air a 6-0 lead. The Bobcats then tacked on four more runs on in the sixth, capped by a game-ending two-run double by Radcliffe.
