Bobcats leverage three pitchers to earn a 6-2 victory
Following a big win over John Carroll, on Tuesday, the Bel Air baseball team made it two straight, on Wednesday, with a 6-2 UCBAC Chesapeake Division win over Rising Sun.

The Bobcats leverage three pitchers over, with junior Brandon Dockery (3.1 innings pitched on 4 hits, 1 run and 1 strike out), taking the middle shift and earning the victory.

Senior pitcher Zack Radcliffe started the game for the Bobcats and contributed two innings with one run on no hits, two walks, one strikeout and a pick-off.  Senior pitcher Mike Yetter earned the save after drawing the Tigers into a 1-4-3 double play to end the game.

The Bobcats fell behind early 1-0 in the first inning after a sac fly, but they would quickly respond in the bottom of the first inning.  Lead-off hitter Liam Bowers (1-for-2 with a walk) was hit by a pitch and then senior second-baseman Cole Slembecker (1-for-3. 2 runs scored and a double) would reach on an error.  Both runners would advance on a double steal setting up a 2-run hit by Radcliffe.

Slembecker doubled home a run in the Bel Air third and he came in to score on a single by Yetter, pushing Bel Air ahead 4-1. Bel Air would tack a run on in the 4th-inning when Brandon Dockery led-off with a stand-up triple and scored on a line single by Andrew Sunday.  Bel Air scored its final run in the sixth after Radcliffe's walk and steal of second set up an RBI single by junior outfielder Drew Gagnon.
