Boys’ Latin strengthens its grasp on the top of the B Conference

First-place Lakers rip Pallotti, 11-2
The Boys’ Latin baseball team traveled to Laurel, Monday afternoon, and strengthened its grasp on first-place in the MIAA B Conference with an 11-2 win over St. Vincent Pallotti at Panther Park.

Jackson Gazin knocked in three runs for the Lakers (10-6, 6-1 MIAA B) as he had two hits in three official trips, drew a pair of walks and scored a run.

Pallotti pitchers walked 13 Laker batters, including Ben Barton three times, and the Panthers committed five errors. Justus Brown hit a double for Boys’ Latin and Cole Jarrett had a triple.

Ned Ruffin pitched a complete game for the Lakers allowing six hits, two runs (1 earned) with nine strike outs. Ruffin did not walk a batter.

Devin Brogden and Thomas Waller each had a pair of doubles for Pallotti (4-3, 4-2 MIAA B).
