Curley lax routs Perry Hall at Hopkins

Ramage dominates at the X to lead Friars
Playing at historic Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University, the Archbishop Curley High lacrosse team dominated possession and thus their opponent, as the Friars defeated Perry Hall, 19-6, in a non-league lacrosse game.

Sophomore Nick Ramage had a great deal to do with Curley’s success as he won 17-of-26 face-offs.

Curley (2-8 overall) had 11 different goal scorers, led by sophomore Scott Kahl, who had three goals and two assists. Freshman midfielder Josh Knapp also had a hat-trick, while junior Ben Smith had two goals and two assists and junior David Bell scored once and dished out five assists.

Juniors Jake Cunningham and Mitchell Foard each chipped in with two goals and junior Nigel Bowden had one goal and one assist. Curley’s other goal scorers were Noah Kellner, Knner Wisniewski, Dillon Buford, CJ Pentz and Austin Leshko.

Jack Muller had a big night for Perry Hall (3-5), scoring three goals and handing out three assists. Dereke Stains added two goals and an assist for the Gators and Nick Braithwait also scored.
