Indians hand No. 6 Bobcats 4-1 loss in softball; Choplinsky has three hits
Jess Choplinsky went 3-for-4 including a two-run triple and Rachel Ward added a two-RBI double as No. 18 North East High defeated No. 6 Bel Air , 4-1, in an UCBAC Chesapeake softball contest Monday afternoon.

Morgan Sargent pitched a five-hitter for the Indians (5-2 overall, 2-1 Chesapeake), who scored twice in the first and sixth innings. The Bobcats (5-2, 3-2 Chesapeake) got their lone run in the sixth on Kat Perea’s RBI single.

Perea finished 2-for-3 along with Brianna Fleischmann, and Peyton Hale had a triple. Bel Air hosts defending Chesapeake champ and No. 8 Perryville Wednesday, while North East is at Rising Sun.
