Harford Tech outlasts Joppatowne, 16-11

Cobras jump out to a 15-5 lead and hang on
Harford Tech appeared to be well on its way to a five-inning run-rule baseball victory, Monday, as the Cobras built a 15-5 lead after three innings. However, host Joppatowne battle back to make a game of it, before the Cobras held on for a 16-11 UCBAC Susquehanna Division victory.

Freshman Nate Reed went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI’s to lead Tech and Julio Sanchez was 1-for-2 with a triple and 3 RBI’s. In addition, Adam Flenner went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and Ethan Rachuba had a hit, a walk and 2 RBI’s.

Reed also earned the victory on the mound, allowing just one earned run in his three innings of work.

Joppatowne was led by Nolan Klado, who was 3-for-4.
