Chapelgate softball hopes fourth time is the charm

Yellow Jackets return six in 2017; Team Preview
They do not yet have an IAAM championship plaque in their trophy case, but the Chapelgate Christian softball team is hoping for a breakthrough in 2017.

Over the last years the Yellow Jackets have actually been among the most successful teams in the IAAM B Conference, making three consecutive trips to the league finals. With six starters back this spring, the team is hoping for a fourth consecutive title game appearance, this time complete with a championship.

The club’s top two returners are sophomore pitcher Grace Edwards, an All-IAAM selection last spring, and senior Tiffany Tharp. In addition, head coach John Isaac, now in his 17th season with the team, has welcomed in a big freshman class and the Yellow Jackets will field their biggest roster ever.
