Hawks look to compete for championships; Team Preview

The River Hill boys' lacrosse team returns just three starters, but the Hawks believe they have enough talent to progress towards success as the season advances.

“Our expectations are to get better every time we step on the filed, which will enable us compete for a county, regional, and sate championships,” said coach Ken Gronsouland. “We’re learning what it is to work hard physically and mentally and we will be a work in progress.”

Junior Brendan McKenna, a three-year starter who is committed to Jacksonville, is back to lead the Hawks.

Also back is sophomore attack Max Friedman and senior attack John Feliz, an RPI commit.  One other key returner is senior face-off specialist Derek Issac, who won 68% of his draws last spring.
