Westminster girls lax should be explosive

Owls return 14 players; Team Preview
The Westminster girls’ lacrosse team will enter the 2017 season with plenty of returning fire power.

Junior Madi Macera, a 2nd-Team All-Carroll County selection, scored 50 goals and had 10 assists last spring. She also scooped 25 ground balls and had 13 draw controls.

Senior midfielder, another 2nd-Team All-Carroll County pick, returns after netting 48 goals, dishing 17 assists, collecting 41 ground balls and 49 draw controls.

Sophomore Anna Ruby, a midfielder, had 45 draw control and 45 ground balls in 2016, to go with 17 goals and eight assists.

Also back is senior Rachel Border, another 2nd-Team All-Carroll County selection. Border had 10 interceptions, 18 draw controls and 26 ground balls.
