Eagles look to flourish behind sophomore All-IAAM pitcher Lindsay Wilson; Team Preview
The Annapolis Area Christian softball team looks to build on the strength of sophomore pitcher Lindsay Wilson, an All-IAAM selection last spring.

The team will be strengthened by incoming freshman catcher Courtney Maurer, freeing up Jayla Pinkney to move from behind the plate to retake her natural position at third base. She will join veteran shortstop Julia Cox, a team leader, to form a strong left-side of the infield. Cox will also see some time pitching this year.

Middle-infielders Maggie Bickhart, and Jenny Milhoan have been impressive throughout preseason, while power-hitters Camille Sims and Megan Bentz provide a solid presence at first. Outfielders Kelsie Flowers, Michelle Wang, Sarah Nissly, and Caroline Lipsey bring speed and consistency in the field and at the plate.

Returning infielder Bri Johnson has showed major improvements in the off-season, while newcomers Alea Coppola, Lena Warner, Erika Hartman and Maddie Hinton have fit right into the program and will provide depth throughout the season.

“With eight returning starters and five incoming freshmen, there is a lot of young talent on this year's team,” said first year head coach Josh Danza.
