South Carroll baseball will seek to win with the basics

Cavaliers will rely on pitching, defense and timely hitting; Team Preview

The South Carroll baseball team has won consistently during the tenure of head coach Brian Zawacki, who enters his fifth season in 2017. The Cavaliers will seek to follow a tradition baseball formula to winning the season.

“If we pitch well, play solid defense and score enough runs, we should be competitive,” said Zawacki, who has gone 62-40 at South Carroll. “We are looking to establish our best nine guys to make this happen.”

The key to the pitching staff will be three returners; senior right-hander David Rivizzigno and junior lefties Jonathan Money and Josh Kaye.
