Dragons carry an 18 game winning streak as they move to the A Conference

Coming off an undefeated season and an IAAM B Conference championship, the Glenelg Country girls lacrosse team is ready for new challenges in 2017.

The Dragons have moved up to the IAAM A Conference.

“The 2017 team gains more speed and quickness in the midfield,” said coach Paige Walton, now in her 18th year with the team. “Keys to success will be draw control, team defense and solid fundamentals.”

Three players who earned all-conference honors, senior Alyssa Arnold and Julia Sheehan and junior Hannah Glaros are back.

Sophomore Shay Ahern also returns in the midfield, while junior Bobbie Haney returns on attack and sophomore Avery Dyer is back in goal.
