No. 2 Eagle girls win regular season finale; Liles and Booth combine for 25


Kayla Liles scored 14 points and sophomore Jessica Booth added 11, leading No. 2 McDonogh School to a 50-28 victory over 15th-ranked Poly in a non-league girls' basketball match in Baltimore City Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles (22-2 overall) built a 25-10 halftime advantage en route to their 14th win in 16 games since the start of the new year. McDonogh will host Archbishop Spalding in the IAAM A Conference Tournament quarterfinals Tuesday.

Freshman Jada Gross had 10 points for Poly (13-6), which next plays at Reginald Lewis Tuesday. The Engineers will play No. 5 Western for the city league Division I title Saturday at 4 p.m. at Coppin State College.
