Warriors complete season-sweep of defending MIAA C champs, 44-37
Saints Peter & Paul is the defending MIAA C Conference basketball champion and the Sabres entered Thursday’s play in first-place in the league. However, the Sabres concluded the day with their second league loss, both to fourth-place Beth Tfiloh, and have slipped back into second-place.

Beth Tfiloh, which won in Easton earlier this season, jumped in front earlier, Thursday, and held off the Sabres for a 44-37 victory to complete the season sweep.

Beth Tfiloh dominated the first quarter, not allowing a single field goal, and led 11-1 at the first break.  The Sabres closed the gap to five at the half, as the Warrior took a 20-15 win into intermission.

Beth Tfiloh still led 31-25 heading into the fourth quarter, but Saints Peter & Paul clawed back and tied the score, at 32-32, before the Warriors closed out the game on a 12-5 run.

Senior Justin Seidman led all scorers with 17 points and sophomore Harris Gartenhaus added 11 points.

The result leaves the seeding race wide open in the league, as all four playoff teams remain within one game of each other. Key School (8-2) is now at the top of the league, while Saints Peter & Paul (10-9 overall) and Cristo Rey are tied for second at 7-2. Beth Tfiloh (10-9 overall), which hopes to climb into one of the top two slots in order to gain a home playoff game, is now 7-3 in the conference.
