Three score in double figures as the Reds rout Spalding,  63-30
Looking to build momentum for the IAAM A Conference basketball tournament, which gets underway on Tuesday, No. 4 Roland Park Country School closed the regular season on a high note, Thursday, routing Archbishop Spalding on the road, 63-30.

The Reds, who will try to get past No. 1 St. Frances Academy and No. 2 McDonogh School in the post season, show great offensive balance against the Cavaliers, getting double-digit points from three players.

Senior Jeydah Johnson paced the effort with 15 points, while freshmen Rain Green and Mir McLean scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.

RPCS was able to clear its bench early as the Reds outscored Spalding 27-5 in the opening quarter and stretched the lead to 42-13 at the half.

Taysha Bender was the only the Cavalier to reach double-figures, scoring 12 points.

Roland Park finishes the regular season at 17-6 overall and 8-4 in the A Conference. Spalding closes at 5-15 overall and 1-11 in the league.
