Sixteenth-ranked Bulls score four second half goals to come from behind
Down 1-0 at the half, No. 16 Hereford erupted for four second half goals, on the road, to stun No. 5 Perry Hall and come away with a huge Baltimore County girls soccer victory, Tuesday evening.
Rachel Saunders scored twice and had an assist, while freshman Payton Patrick had a goal and three assists to lead the surge by the Bulls. Lily Robertson also scored for Hereford (9-2-1).
Perry Hall (9-2) took a 1-0 first half lead on a score by Ryleigh Fachler and Kara Dietrich scored in the second half for the Gators. Perry Hall also outshot Hereford 10-9, but the Gators could not slow the Bulls’ offense once it got rolling in the second half.
Lucy Griffin made six key saves to help Hereford earn the win, while Lauren Win had five stops for Perry Hall.
The victory keeps Hereford atop the Baltimore County Division I North/West standings where the Bulls are 4-0. Perry Hall is now 2-1 in the league and tied for second place with Dulaney.
