No. 15 Friends School visited John Carroll, Saturday, in a non-conference MIAA soccer battle and the two team fought to a 1-1 draw.

John Carroll took the lead with 25 minutes to go after a long ball over the top was not dealt with by the Friends’ backline and striker Ryan Waugh slotted home a shot from 10 yards out. With 15 minutes to go Mike Klausner was brought down in the box and he stepped up to take the PK, which e converted to make it 1-1.

Both teams had chances to win it late, but each had to settle for the draw. The contest was the season opener for the visiting Quakers, while John Carroll improved to 0-1-1.
