Falcons gain ground in a crowded MIAA B playoff hunt
Nate Dresin had a hand in all four goals as Getstell Academy defeated Saints Peter & Paul, 4-2, in MIAA B Conference soccer, on Wednesday.
Dresin scored twice and assisted on two others as he continues a big season. Caleb Frey and Malachi Darden also scored for the Falcons and Greg McPaz had an assist.
Both teams are battling for a post-season invitation and are part of a crowded pack trailing league leaders Friends School (9-0-1) and Concordia Prep (7-2).
Saints Peter & Paul (4-4-2) has narrow edge in third place with 14 points, followed by AACS and Park with 13 points each, and Gerstell (4-5) and Severn with 12 points. The five teams in the trail pack will be playing musical chairs down the stretch, with only four remaining playoff positions.
