Matt Wollenweber had four goals and an assist, and Ben Claffee scored four goals, leading 15th-ranked Fallston High to an 18-1 victory over Harford Tech in the Class 2A/1A North Region boys’ lacrosse final in Harford County Wednesday.
The Cougars (13-5 overall) will play Pikesville in a state 2A/1A semfinal Saturday at Northeast. Pikesville defeated Dunbar in the South final Wednesday afternoon.
Fallston, which lost to Southern in last year’s region final – ending a bid at a 4th straight state title – built a 9-0 first half advantage against the Cobras Wednesday. Dylan Wolf had two goals and three assits, and Andrew Stump and Ryan Buckler scored twice.
Justin Steen had Harford Tech’s lone goal.
