Gators blank Loch Raven, 3-0

The Loch Raven Raiders did not find the treasure they sought in the swamp at Perry Hall High School, Thursday, as the host Gators prevailed, 3-0, in Baltimore County girls soccer.

Seventh-ranked Perry Hall controlled approximately 65% of the possession and created numerous offensive opportunities throughout the contest.

Despite multiple chances, Perry Hall was only able to establish a 1-0 lead at the half, thanks to a goal by Phoebe Canoles, which came via a through ball from Mackenzie Click, at the 25 minute mark.

The second half started with a flurry of chances for both sides in back and forth play. Junior goalkeeper Lauren Gwin recorded 4 saves, tipping 2 over the cross bar on Loch Raven direct kicks, to keep the Raiders off the board. Then, Ryleigh Fachler one timed a pass from Canoles into the net, at the 61 minute mark, to stretch the Gator lead to 2-0. The third Perry Hall goal occurred in the 75th minute when Summer Meisel slotted home a shot from a diagonal pass by midfielder Jessica Auvil.
