For the second consecutive year the Dundalk boys basketball team saw its season come to an end on the court at C. Milton Wright in the 3A North Section II final, as the 11th-ranked Mustangs ousted the Owls from the post-season in a hard-earned 73-67 victory, Wednesday in Bel Air.

Wright (21-3 overall) now advances to the regional title game on Friday at No. 13 Woodlawn. The surging Warriors followed Monday’s upset of top-ranked Poly with a 67-57 win over Douglass in the Section I final, also on Wednesday. Wayne Massey paced Woodlawn with 18 points.

Senior stars Corey Bays, Chris Lorenzo and Kyle Harkins carried the day for C. Milton Wright, combining for all but five of the team’s points. Bays scored a game-high 25, followed by 19 from Lorenzo and 18 by Harkins.

Hawkins added five assists, while senior Dante Brown had 6 rebounds, 4 blocks and 4 assists.

Duran Ball completed his high school basketball career with 20 points to lead the Owls (18-6 overall). Senior Malik Winston added 15 points for Dundalk and senior Kobi Eure finished with 9.
